No Details On the 3 Vehicle Crash Involving a Niles Police SUV Closes Niles Streets at Caldwell Woods.

Niles police have several streets and parking lots blocked off as they investigate the 3 vehicle crash Tuesday night involving a Niles Police SUV and two passenger cars.

Not exactly sure when the accident happened and if anyone was injured but it is a safe bet people were injured and transported to local hospitals as a result of this three vehicle collision involving a Niles police SUV. There was a heavy police presence with many streets blocked off from not only vehicle traffic, but pedestrians as well.

As I approached the accident scene on foot, I was approached by and questioned by two Niles police officers as to what I was doing and what I wanted there. I informed them I was going to cover the story for Patch.com and they allowed me to go about my business taking photos and recording videos.

This reporters' best guess as to what happened is the Police SUV may have t-boned the black sedan, which sent the sedan across the lane into the white Nissan Sentra, but I cannot be certain.

I was able to observe  accident scene investigators using lights, cameras and measuring equipment as well.
