Dog & Owner Viciously Attacked in Unprovoked Dog Attack in Chicago

Chicago dog viciously attacked by two unleashed German Shepards in Galewood Wednesday evening.

A local man was walking his dog, a 32lb Yorkie when they were beset upon by two 70lb, unleashed German shepards who viciously & ruthlessly attempted to disembowel the much smaller dog.

The owner responded by fighting for his dogs' life while the two owners attempted, largely in vain to gain control of their berserk, maniacal, out for blood canines.

In Chicago, it is against the law to have any dog outside the confines of your property sans a leash: From the City of Chicago's website: "Section 7-12-030 of the municipal code requires dog owners to keep their dog on a leash if the animal is outside of the confines of a yard."

Eventually the attacking dogs' female owners were able to gain control of their animals and the man and his dog were able to flee to safety, but not before being physically & emotionally traumatized as if they had been in a war zone, fighting for their very lives.

CPD has the report & a detective has been assigned to the case.
