Elgin HS senior dies after being shot on way to Lil Durk concert at UC

Jess Kendall Was 18 Years Old When he Was gunned down by armed assailants during a robbery on way to Lil Durk concert at the United Center on Monday.

According to the Chicago Police Department (CPD), Jess Kendall and four friends were two blocks from the United
Center, where they planned to attend the Lil Durk concert, when they
were robbed and attacked at gunpoint on Sunday evening.

Kendall, 18, of Elgin, was pistol-whipped and shot during the
confrontation. He was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook
County in critical condition and died hours later, according to Police.

“Nobody is doing good. Everyone is devastated by the loss of this
kid,” Kendall’s older brother, Thomas, said Tuesday. “Everyone misses
him. I miss him really, really bad.”
