IHSA Girls Gymnastics Niles West "Big Invite"

The Niles West High School 'Big Invite' began at 11am and consisted of 13 teams competing in the four female gymnastics events of Floor, Balance Beam, Vault & UnEven Bars.

Niles West High School is located on Oakton Ave. in Skokie and is part of school district 219.

The 13 teams that competed were as follows, in finishing order:

1) Frankin Sabers, 2) Libertyville Wildcats, 3) Geneva Vikings, 4) Oak Creek / Whitnall, 5) Stevenson Patriots, 6) Maine South Hawks, 7) Evanston Wildkits, 8) Oak Park-River Forest Huskies, 9) Leyden Eagles, 10) Niles West Wolves, 11) Maine East Blue Demons, 12) Niles North Vikings, 13) Bartlett High School.

The Franklin Sabers finished First with a combined team score of 106.800, followed by the Libertyville Wildcats with a score of 104.850, with the Geneva Vikings rounding out the top three spots with a team score of 104.350.

The host team, the Niles West Wolves finished in 10th place, scoring 87.200.

On the individual scoring side, Kate Staub from Stevenson took home First place with an All Around score of 36.900, followed by Libertyville's Nina Raniszewski with a 36.300 & Grace Hilber of Frankin in 3rd with a score of 36.150.

There was no mandatory admittance fee but guests were encouraged to donate whatever they could to assist the Niles West Wolves gymnastics program.
