A person pulled from Lake Michigan at Oak Street Beach early Wednesday has been identified as a man who was reported missing over the weekend in the River North neighborhood.
Krzysztof Szubert, 21, was found unresponsive in Lake Michigan.
The 21-year-old man was last seen at Howl at the Moon, on Hubbard Street at approximately 9:45pm Saturday night during an after work party with co-workers.
The software engineer was in the Chicago area for a few months working on an I.T. project, employed by Knapp Incorporated, a global tech company. He was living out of a hotel room in Joliet during his stay here. He was due to return to Poland next month.
After he was not heard from after several attempts to contact him Monday night and Tuesday, his co-workers returned to the bar and re-traced their steps, and put up missing person posters with his picture.
A death investigation is being conducted by Chicago authorities.
