Lake Park Wins Boys IHSA Gymnastics Team First Place for 2023

In what could wind up being the swan song for IHSA boy's gymnastics, the Illinois state team finals for 2023 were held at Hoffman Estates High School on Friday & Saturday, beginning at 4pm on Friday & 12 noon on Saturday.

Eight teams competed in the usual six boys/mens gymnastics routines. The routines are as follows:

Pommel Horse, Still Rings, Vault, Floor Exercise, Parallel Bars & High Bar.

The eight IHSA HS teams that competed this year are as follows, in rotation schedule:

2. Lincolnshire (Stevenson)
3. Palatine (Fremd)
4. Roselle (Lake Park)
5. LaGrange (Lyons)
6. Naperville (North)
7. Arlington Heights (Hersey)
8. Downers Grove (North)

The team from Roselle (Lake Park) took home First place honors, with the overall individual honor going to Hersey sophomore Nate Mabry.
