The search continues for a missing former NFL player whose mother was found dead in a creek behind their Maywood house where he and his 73 year old mother, Myrtle Brown lived.
Myrtle Brown's death has been listed as a homicide by the Cook County medical examiners office, and Mr. Brown is nowhere to be found.
Authorities say they are searching for 35 year old Brown, a
Proviso East graduate who played in the NFL from 2010 to 2016 with the
New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts, but won't label him as a suspect or a person of interest as of yet.
Brown was reported missing alongside his mother, Myrtle, hours before she was found dead of an apparent homicide in Maywood.
In an Instagram post Monday, Mr. Brown appears to make vague statements about her death and relates it to the FBI & Maywood police, as well as claiming his mother was on vacation.
Police are asking for the public's help in locating Mr. Brown as well as for him to divulge his location and come forward in assistance of the investigation into his mother's murder.
Anyone with any information can call the FBI or Maywood police department.
