Grayslake Man Arrest & Charged with Producing Illegal 3D Guns

Charles A. Best, 31, of Grayslake was charged with five counts of unlawful possession of a machine gun and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm silencer after allegedly manufacturing firearms and machine gun conversion devices, utilizing 3D printers.

Authorities were tipped off to his illegal activities and executed a search warrant at his residence where they confiscated two 3D printers, several 3D pistol frames, 1000 rounds of ammunition, high-powered rifle parts as well as over 60 grams of cannabis wax.
