CTA knife attacker was on pretrial release for attacking a CTA bus driver

Trent Prusinski, the suspected attacker in a vicious, random knife attack that seriously injured a Red Line passenger was out on pre-trial release, after being arrested for another crime.

Prusinski was on the street even though prosecutors asked a judge to keep him in jail over the summer after he got arrested again and allegedly violated his court-ordered nighttime curfew.
