37 year old man charged with attempted murder after stabbing in Hoffman Estates

News reports are claiming a man is charged following the stabbing of another man in a parking lot in Hoffman Estates.

According to authorities, police officers were dispatched around noon Sunday to the 1100 block of East Golf Road for a person attempting to open car doors and throwing items at businesses.

While responding to the area, officers received a second call to the 100 block of East Golf Road for a person stabbed in a parking lot.

Upon arrival at the second location, police located a 56-year-old man with multiple stab wounds and witnesses were able to provide a description of the male offender.

According to police, Passev was located shortly after the incident in the 1000 block of Roselle Road and taken into custody.

The victim was transported to Lutheran General Hospital where he underwent surgery and is listed in stable condition.

Passev is due in bond court on Tuesday. No word on a possible motive or if there is any prior connection between the offender and victim.
