Naperville Man Arrested After Killing Family Dog & Allegedly Threatening Children
According to police records and CBS2, Gonzalez has been charged with one count of aggravated cruelty to animals and two counts of misdemeanor endangering the health or life of a child.
The incident unfolded back on Sept. 29, just before 6 a.m., when Naperville police received a 911 call from a 14-year-old girl who said that her stepfather, later identified as Gonzalez, had killed their family dog and was threatening to kill her and her 11-year-old stepsister.
While in court, the judge granted the state's motion to detain Gonzalez on an unrelated misdemeanor domestic battery charges for allegedly hitting his wife with a baseball bat on Oct. 2.
