FOX32 reports that on NYE Day, at approximately 4:45am, a crash happened in Waukegan at Lewis Avenue and Jenkinson Court.
A female, later identified as 44-year-old Tiffany Thomas of North Chicago was found dead on the scene. The driver of the vehicle that struck her had fled the scene.
The alleged driver, 22-year-old Victor Rivas-Martinez of Waukegan was taken into police custody following a police investigation into the incident.
