Single Vehicle Crashes Into House Near Notre Dame High School in Niles

A single vehicle car crash occurred at approximately 3:40pm, Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

The car crashed into a house House Near Notre Dame High School on Dempster and Oleander streets in Niles, IL.

A Buick Century lost control on Dempster, hit a USPS mailbox and careened into the house at the corner of Dempster & Oleander, 8761 N. Oleander, Niles IL.

Two teens wearing Notre Dame clothing were at the scene along with what appeared to be a relative or friend of theirs, Niles police, tow truck and about 20 on-lookers, including Niles building inspector Dennis O'Donovan.

A vape pen was spotted at the scene and Dempster was covered in oil absorbing clay.

Three local news helicopters were spotted flying overhead, from Channel 7, Channel 5 & another channel that could not be determined.
